One of the main technological advantages of GeoTechnologyLA is our experience on estimation of mechanical properties in continuous measurements in cores, plugs and/or drill cuttings, sometimes the only information available.
Due to the limited number of samples to carry out geomechanics studies GT has state of the art equipment to measure the reservoir mechanical properties. We also have the tools to estimate porosity and mineral composition to be correlated with the mechanical properties.
This continuous measure allows the incorporation of intrinsic information of the reservoir (core, cuttings) mechanical properties to be correlated with well logs. The tool also allows a better correlation with the constants and elastic parameters as Poisson Ratio, Young Module, Shear, among others.
GeoTechnologyLA uses supervised algorithms of artificial intelligence as Artificial Neural Nets (RNA) and expert systems of Fuzzy Logic to predict mechanical and petrophysical properties using well logs based on GT measurements. It provides the best upscaling between these two scales.
